The Girolomoni corporate ecosystem
A new concept in Italian organic supply chain

All of the activities of the Girolomoni ecosystem
The ecosystem originated through the work of the Gino Girolomoni Cooperative and Gino himself, and has since been carried on by his family to this day – a commitment that extends beyond the creation of the supply chain dedicated to organic pasta. The term ‘ecosystem’ is used to refer to the collection of distinct activities and entities that make it up and which work in synergy, where the actions carried out in each sector (culture, sharing and hospitality, networking) contribute to the development of the co-operative and, more broadly, of organic farming. This integrated ecosystem comprises, in addition to the Gino Girolomoni Cooperative – which acts as its driving force – the Girolomoni Cultural Foundation, the Montebello Cooperative, the GranoTurismo hospitality scheme with its inn, bed & breakfast and Bio Tour, and the Marche Biologiche Consortium.

“The reconstruction of a countryside able to multiply fertility and to make towns and cities liveable again is more than just a simple technical fact, such as the discovery of television; it takes a vast commitment in terms of human strength and intelligence in every field, a whole made from highly creative and manual works of art, involving an imposing cultural, political and practical project.”
